Sales Engineer
Serve a geographic region by developing customer relationships, identifying weighing and measurement needs, conducting site visits and recommending appropriate products or solutions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop new business through prospecting, customer outreach and follow-up on internal leads.
- Work closely with regional sales and service personnel to support customers and identify opportunities.
- Conduct site-survey visits and help determine equipment or project requirements.
- Understand and communicate the technical aspects of the products and systems being recommended.
- Remain responsive when customers need assistance outside typical business hours.
Qualifications
- Three years of sales experience; technical or equipment sales experience is preferred.
- Strong written, verbal and listening skills.
- Self-motivated, organized and able to manage changing priorities and deadlines.
- Comfort using common office software and computerized systems.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and ability to obtain adequate insurance coverage.
- Weighing-system knowledge is helpful but not required; ability to learn and operate products is required.
Scale and Maintenance Technician
Work independently and with regional team members to maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair scales and weighing systems at customer facilities.
Role Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, calibration and repair work on scales and weighing systems.
- Travel to customer sites and communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Follow work instructions, service procedures, safety expectations and scheduling requirements.
- Use computers and tablets to document service activity and complete required records.
- Help maintain customer relationships and recognize additional service needs.
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, professional appearance and willingness to learn.
- Basic mechanical experience and knowledge of electrical concepts.
- Technical education or related field-service experience is strongly preferred; additional training is provided.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 to 100 pounds during normal field work.
- Basic computer and tablet skills, including common office software.
- Clean driving record and willingness to travel within approximately a two-hour service radius.
